If you wish to study at this modern university, you will probably already know that it specialises in business and law, art and design, computing, environmental sciences, built environments, applied healthcare, psychology and sports science and teacher education. University of Northumbria – Entry Requirements

Requirements for different courses vary and you should visit the University of Northumbria’s International website, where you will find the requirements for each course and how these requirements transfer to the educational framework in your country. Remember that you will need to be able to speak English to gain the most from your student experience at the University of Northumbria. Foundations course requirements are IELTS 5.0 for International Foundation Programmes, IELTS 5.5 for International Foundation – Law, and between IELTS 4.5-6.0 for the English Language Pre-Sessional Programme.
Most undergraduate programmes at the University of Northumbria require a minimum of IELTS 6.0 (or a Pearson 54). The exceptions are the Dip HE Medical Science Year One and the Health Professional Courses, which along with law courses, require a 6.5 (Pearson 62); Midwifery, Nursing Studies, Social Work, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy require 7.0 (Pearson 69,) as does Dip HE Medical Science Year 2.

Scholarships for the University of Northumbria

Some examples which you may care to study further are the Early Payment Discount of £300 for students who pay their deposit before a designated date. The International Academic Scholarship rewards the highest achieving full time, self-funding international students with up to £2500 reduced from first year tuition fees. Sponsored students or those already in receipt of another scholarship are not eligible for this scholarship. Latin American students at the University of Northumbria might be eligible for one of the three Santander Latin American scholarships. Loans may be available via the William D Ford Federal Direct Loan Program.
